Nielson Communications, Inc is a leading wireless communication solutions company dedicated to providing cost effective wireless solutions to government, utilities, business and industry. Daniel Nielson formed Bay Electronics (the founding company for Nielson Communications, Inc.) in 1974 out of Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin to provide marine electronic engineering and systems integration to the area ship yards. Nielson Communications was established as a division of Bay Electronics in Green Bay Wisconsin in 1989. The two companies have since merged under Nielson Communications, Incorporated, with corporate offices in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

In 1989 Nielson Communications entered the Specialized Mobile Radio “SMR” industry by constructing two 800MHz logic trunked radio (LTR) sites in Sturgeon Bay and Green Bay Wisconsin. The system would eventually evolve into a nine site system servicing customers through Northeast Wisconsin. Nielson Communications has since migrated from 800MHz to a UHF analog LTR (logic trunked radio) system in 2004 with coverage throughout northeast Wisconsin with roaming and coverage in Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago offering the largest analog wireless dispatch service in the Midwest.
